Tailored sales documents ready in 5 minutes

PROBLEM

The sales team spent far too much time writing sales documents with a detailed analysis of the customer's situation (a tailored offer every time, matching the customer's situation).

OUTCOME

A finished document ready for review in 5 minutes. In 90% of cases it only needed an approval click.

SOLUTION

Built on top of their existing software. AI generates the draft from text, video and notes, so the salesperson approves instead of writing from scratch.

2 full-time positions saved in peak season

PROBLEM

Manual order processing in peak season. Staff copied and pasted between systems, errors happened every day, and there was overtime every week.

OUTCOME

Saved 2 full-time positions in peak season. No manual errors. Still running.

SOLUTION

An order robot that replaced the entire manual process.

Commissions without errors and 1 full-time position saved

PROBLEM

Commissions were calculated by hand. The admin office was drowning in it, errors every cycle, disputes between sales and finance, and nobody trusted the numbers. The crunch grew from half a day to a full week.

OUTCOME

Errors dropped to zero. Saved 1 full-time position. The sales team could finally see their own pipeline and targets, and started hitting them.

SOLUTION

A commission system with a real-time overview of sales.

Contracts in one place, and the money leak closed

PROBLEM

Contracts were scattered across spreadsheets, email threads and people's heads. Missed renewals, wrong terms, lost money and constant stress. On top of that, money leaked through hours that were never logged in the system.

OUTCOME

One source of truth. No missed deadlines, no guesswork, no lost revenue from overlooked clauses. Dozens of hours saved.

SOLUTION

A contract management system that closed the leak. It grew into the system they run daily operations on today.

Quotes made in 70% less time

PROBLEM

Their pricing tool was clumsy and hard to follow. Making a quote was a slow, painful process, and it limited how many quotes they could send out.

OUTCOME

They now save 70% of the time when making quotes. Faster response, more quotes out.

SOLUTION

A new pricing tool built on their own idea and slotted into the existing software with the strangler pattern.

A billing engine that handles 400% more operations

PROBLEM

Billing worked, but compliance was manual and painful. The rules kept changing, and adding a new payment provider meant rebuilding half the system.

OUTCOME

Automated compliance. Saved 1 full-time position in manual processing. Opened the door to new payment providers, new markets and revenue streams that didn't exist before. Today it handles 400% more operations and has become their central billing engine.

SOLUTION

A rebuilt billing layer, designed to grow without reinventing the wheel.

Operations back in place within a week when the key person left

PROBLEM

The key technical person is gone. Nobody understands the systems, decisions pile up, and every day without direction costs money.

OUTCOME

Operational continuity within 1 week instead of months of chaos. Stabilised, documented and handed over to a permanent hire, or I continue as fractional CTO by agreement.

SOLUTION

Done it more than 5 times. First result typically within a week, fully operational within 2-3.

From 30-40% to full capacity within budget

PROBLEM

The infrastructure was misconfigured across several layers. Technically they could sell far more, but ran at only 30-40% capacity, with massive outages that cost revenue.

OUTCOME

Full capacity unlocked within budget. Outages are now rare, and they have moved to the cloud.

SOLUTION

A thorough audit found every bottleneck, and they were fixed one by one.

Security hole found, closed and mapped

PROBLEM

Something is wrong. Vibe-coded software they don't know if they can trust, an attack in progress, or they've already been hacked. They have no idea how far it goes.

OUTCOME

Source found, hole closed, full scope mapped and a clear plan for what happens next. In one case the hacker was handed over to the police.

SOLUTION

I identify the source, patch, map the scope and give you an honest picture of where you stand.

Five travel brands in 16 countries on infrastructure that scales with the season

PROBLEM

12 years ago they asked me straight out: we're going to sell holidays all over Europe and need someone to build the servers behind it. Can you do it? The requirement was an extensive open source infrastructure with the best balance of performance, reliability and cost.

OUTCOME

Problems anticipated and machines replaced without customers noticing. Built-in horizontal scaling to handle seasonal peaks.

SOLUTION

For more than 10 years I have built and maintained the infrastructure behind five European travel brands selling in 16 countries.

Water works monitored online before anyone else could

PROBLEM

Physical installations that need monitoring and control. Water works with filters that need cleaning. Payments out in the field with no terminal nearby. Off-the-shelf solutions don't exist, and most developers stop where the hardware begins.

OUTCOME

Water works monitored and filters cleaned automatically, running on embedded Linux over Modbus and GPRS, before anyone else could. An RFID-based electronic wallet, so members pay for fuel at the waterski club without cash and without a terminal.

SOLUTION

I build both sides, hardware and software, so the physical and the digital talk to each other.
